A Unique Approach to Healing

Between the highs and lows of daily life, many people find themselves struggling with overwhelming feelings. I believe that we all attempt to manage life's daily struggles as best as we can, but sometimes our means of coping are not always effective or efficient. I can help you learn new ways to navigate and manage the difficult situations that you may be experiencing. Through an authentic, collaborative and empathic approach, we can come up with creative solutions that will allow you to feel more comfortable, confident and relaxed.

I specialize in working with pregnancies, postpartum mental health, relationships, life transitions, stress management, anxiety, depression, and the pressures of day to day life. I have experience working with individuals of all ages including couples, children and adolescents, young adults, and with the family system.

I have found that the one-on-one approach helps clients gain insight and skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. I use an eclectic range of therapies depending on the client's needs and work collaboratively with each individual to devise a treatment plan with measurable goals to ensure success.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we work together to help you become aware of thoughts and behaviors that don’t necessarily mesh with the reality around you. Recognizing these potentially inaccurate or negative thoughts can help you view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in efficient ways. CBT can be an effective process, both on its own and in conjunction with other therapies to treat a multitude of mental health disorders.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavioral therapy utilizes a group of four skills that are comprised of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Upon embracing these skills and keeping them as your own, you will have the knowledge to better identify and manage negative thinking patterns, and therefore have the ability to effect positive behavioral change.
